Our desire and intent is to provide the most suitable and effective counselling solutions possible to individuals, couples and families. Breathe Counselling Midland is located upstairs in the heritage listed WA Bank building, across the road from Midland Gateway Shopping Centre, is easily accessible with close access to bus routes and the Midland Train Station. Free street parking is available outside on the Great Eastern Highway and in the (green) fenced area behind the building. Access to parking and the counselling room via Victoria Street.

Gannon Jones

Gannon is a counsellor and provisional psychologist, offering individual therapy and relationship counselling in Perth, Midland and Online. Walking alongside people, within a supportive environment, Gannon creates a safe space for the sharing of personal stories. He allows people to cultivate insight and awareness of themselves, coupled with introducing concepts of practical enhanced coping skills, to empower people to cope more effectively with the life and mental health issues that they may encounter.
Applying the best available research, Gannon considers people’s unique characteristics, values, preferences, circumstances, and life goals. He works with clients to assist them in identifying the most appropriate approach and treatment plan to address the problem that best fits the individual’s own unique situation in order to help them to improve their lives. Gannon is passionate about and believes in guiding people to enhance their own personal well-being in order to foster positive and sustainable relationships with themselves and with other people in all types of environments.
Gannon utilises a wide range of evidence-based approaches and treatments, including psycho-education, and the therapeutic interventions of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). He has experience in public and private clinical healthcare and community mental health settings, across the lifespan of children to the elderly, supporting; individuals, couples, families and groups.Gannon has a background in Psychology, Philosophy, Ethics, and Bioethics and is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Agency AHPRA.
Breathe Counselling is not able to offer Medicare Rebates through Mental Health Treatment Plans (MHTP). Our fees are often equal to or less than the gap fee you would generally pay for psychological therapy after a Medicare rebate.


Katherine Hughes
FdA. Humanistic Counselling (Transactional Analysis)
Katherine has just recently joined our team of counsellors at Breathe and offers sessions in Midland, Perth and Online. She has a rich and unique background in counselling and community services.
Whether Short or Long Term Therapy, Katherine is committed to facilitating Clients on their journey to improved wellbeing and self-discovery. She provides a safe space for Clients to be truly heard alongside the opportunity to reflect on experiences and understand their meaning.
Working with Adults, Adolescents and Children, Katherine takes a Person-Centred approach whilst incorporating theories such as Transactional Analysis, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Mindfullness. This integrative approach means therapy is provided in line with the needs and wishes of each individual.
A popular choice with younger clients due to her down to earth, relatable approach, Katherine supports with a range of factors often experienced in adolescence, including; life transitions, school avoidance, identity exploration, parental separation, childhood bereavement and spiritual matters.
Formerly an Outreach Worker and Family Support Service Manager, Katherine has experience in a variety of roles including as a Grief Counsellor, Specialist Suicide Bereavement Counsellor, High School Counsellor and College Counsellor.
Katherine works tentatively alongside Clients- whether it be exploring feelings such as anger, anxiety or depression, navigating grief, looking at relationships or considering how earlier experiences impact life today.

Stephanie Koutsoukos

Stephanie offers counselling services in our Perth CBD and Midland counselling suites or Online. Stephanie is passionate about providing a safe, insightful space for her clients. Trained in EFT(Emotionally Focused Therapy) for Individuals and Couples, as well as IMR(Imagery Rescripting) therapy for adults with childhood trauma, Stephanie is attentive and creative in her approach. She has prior experience supporting individuals, couples, children and families to address diverse needs, including relationship struggles, anxiety, depression, grief and historical trauma.

Jade Lim

Jade Lim offers individual and couples counselling in Perth, Midland Rockingham and Online. Jade is an empathetic and insightful, person-centred counsellor and psychotherapist. She applies a range of relevant therapeutic approaches in her practice according to the unique needs of her clients and in consideration of personal context. Jade is an integrative therapist and draws upon Attachment styles, Gestalt, Emotionally Focused (EFT), ACT and Narrative counselling in an attachment-based approach. Building genuine rapport and strong alliance with her clients, Jade champions those she works with for the purpose of helping them reach their goals.
Jade is particularly interested in supporting those suffering grief, loss, and trauma. She has supported women from family and domestic violence and pre and post pregnancy care. As a long-term migrant in Australia, she values culture, diversity and inclusivity and has weaved her journey through the complexities of social and cultural issues in this ever-evolving landscape. A parent of two teens and a young adult, Jade is happy to share parenting insights and experience.
After a significant history in operational and client services roles, Jade turned toward her passion and niche to support people in their mental health and wellbeing journeys. Jade also had many years of experience volunteering in charities and local community organisations.
Jade is able to offer rebates to BUPA and ARHG members with counselling as part of their plan.
